West African Sales Development Representative

Develop and drive revenue via new business generation across the West African region for the Diligent HighBond platform. The sale is a full solution including services and training, trusted by over 25,000 customer organisations in 130 countries. You will be responsible for identifying sales opportunities for an experienced Business Development Executive and Pre-sales Consultant to drive towards winning.

The Sales Development Representatives play an instrumental role in driving growth for the business by strategically prospecting with impactful messaging. We’re looking for a collaborative, competitive and hard-working individual with true entrepreneurial spirit. This is a multifaceted role aligning sales and marketing teams to generate targeted awareness of our Modern Governance Solutions by driving outbound sales opportunities.

Key deliverables

  • Generate and seek out new business through cold-calling, email prospecting and referrals.
  • Navigate customer organizations to identify influencers and decision makers to find new opportunities.
  • Actively increase your industry knowledge to educate and create awareness within the customer environment.
  • Qualifying leads generated by marketing and making the first contact with those accounts to generate interest
  • Utilize strategic, proven sales methodologies to ensure setting of appointments.
  • Coordinate software demonstrations with sales executives and log activities in CRM
  • Ensure that the CRM system (Salesforce) is accurately updated with all necessary information.
  • Develop and maintain excellent product knowledge and be able to hook a prospective client for a meeting using the unique benefits of the solution.
  • Exceed qualified meetings booked quotas

Technical knowledge, skills & abilities

  • High-level understanding of initial contact sales processes (marketing, prospecting, cold, calling)
  • Proven ability to prospect through companies to identify the correct individuals.
  • Proven capability of scheduling meetings or demonstrations for senior sales executives
  • Demonstrated track-record in over-achieving challenging targets.
  • Ability to draft personalised emails to create meaningful connections

Education & qualifications

  • Matric certificate
  • Completed degree

  • At least 3 years in a similar role
  • Must have a proven track record in sales / cold calling within the West African region
